Firesquid, the publishing arm of Lightbulb Crew, is looking for a Community Manager Intern to join our team.

About the internship

As a community manager, you will be integrated into the communication team and become the community manager for an unannounced Firesquid game. You will be the intermediary between the developers and the community.

During the internship, you will discover what a publisher does to support development studios (Production, Marketing, Communication) and learn how a communication campaign works, from early strategy to release and above.

Contract: 4-6 months Internship, starting March 2025.

Location: remote - candidates must live in France and have a "convention de stage" from a French school

Lightbulb Crew is an indie studio located in Paris.  Our vision is to spark joy in people playing and making games. Firesquid is the sister-company focusing on publishing indie strategy games which aim at revisiting their genre.

About you

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Support the Head of Communication with the social media and communication strategy

  • Prepare social media posts for the game (Twitter, Bluesky, Reddit)

  • Manage the community and collect feedback on the game’s community hubs (Steam, Discord)

  • Create and edit content on video platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, Youtube Shorts)

  • Capture gameplay footage by playing the game

The ideal person for the job has: 

  • An educational background focused on communication or community management

  • An interest in strategy games and more specifically Real-Time-Strategy games

  • Knowledge of social media (Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit)

  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop

  • Basic knowledge of Steam Community

  • Great team player with a can-do attitude, committed and curious about their work

  • Fluent in English (mandatory)

  • An interview with the Head of Communication and another Firesquid Lead
